Additions and Updates

The original submisson facility is now being used for creating additional entries and updates to some of the existing entries.

If you are creating a new entry, information on designing and writing encyclopedia articles, style guides, sample entries, the submission process and contracts is available from the Additions and Updates page.

If you have received an email confirming you have been assigned to an entry and are ready to upload a draft version please login.

Contributor Access to Encyclopedia

Please login in order to:

• download a PDF version of your entry
• access the online version of the Encyclopedia for free (access is provided for one year after publication of your entries).
• update your contact details, change your password

Contributors will be required to login with the same email address and password as used for the submission process. If you have mislaid your password you can use the "Forgotten your password" link above to retrieve it.

If you are the first-named author of your contribution and you have not used the website before, please try the "Forgotten your password" link and enter your email address in order to retrieve your password. If this does not work it may be that your email address is different to the one we have in the system for you, in which case please email Kieran Thomas who will confirm your login details.

The online version of the Encyclopedia will be updated three times a year with new and revised entries, with J. Michael Ryan at the University of Maryland coordinating the process, and George Ritzer as editor. For the first year, both print purchasers and contributors are being given free online access to the Encyclopedia. After this trial period we will look to pick up significant numbers of online subscriptions.
